20. 업과 습 Karma and Habits                                              

 

업과 습 Karma and Habits

업이란 가진 마음이지          Karma is the heart we hold,
살면서 쌓아온 마음이지      The heart accumulated while living,
살아온 과정의 기억이지      The memories of the lived process.

업장은 쌓여 있는 것이지     Karmic imprints are what accumulate,
업이란 원래 없는 것이지     Karma originally doesn’t exist,
사람이 진리이라 그렇지      It's because humans are the truth.

산 삶은 원래 없는 것이지    The lived life originally doesn’t exist,
가짐의 마음이 붙잡고 있지  It's the heart of possession that clings,
그냥 살면 없어지는 것을     Just live and it disappears.

죽어서도 없어지지 않지      It doesn't disappear even in death,
육신에 붙어 그냥 있지        Clinging to the physical body, just being,
나가 살아온 대로 살지         Living as one has lived.
