나의 마음은 나의 산 삶이라

My heart is my lived life,
지금 껏 살아온 나의 생이라

It is the life I have lived so far,
모두가 나의 업과 습이 되니

Everything becomes my karma and habits,
살아서 죽어 이마음 비워보세

In life and death, let's empty this heart.

모든 망념 망상은 나의 산 삶

All delusions and illusions are my lived life,
업과 습에서 모든걸 판별하니

Judging everything from karma and habits,
나의 산 삶이 마귀와 같구나

My lived life is like a devil,
살아서 죽어 이마음 비워보세

In life and death, let's empty this heart.

마음이 비워지니 참 나가되네

As the heart empties, I become the true self,
진실되고 참된 나는 허공이네

The true and real me is like the void,
허공과 만상은 같아 영생하니

The void and all phenomena are eternal,
살아서 죽어 이마음 비워보세

In life and death, let's empty this heart.

이 육신이 죽고 썩어 흙이되도

Even when this body dies and decays into soil,
마음은 진리가 되어 영생하니

The heart becomes the truth and lives eternally,
조상과 후손이 얼마나 좋은가

How wonderful it is for ancestors and descendants,
살아서 죽어 이마음 비워보세
