123. 도솔삼관  The Three Questions of Dosol               

 

도솔삼관 The Three Questions of Dosol

도솔스님 제시하신  The three questions posed by Master Dosol
세가지의 화두이네  Are these three koans:
첫번째의 화두에는  The first koan asks
자성있는 곳을묻고  About the place of true nature.
두번째의 화두에는  The second koan asks
생사탈출 방법묻고  About the method to escape life and death.
세번째의 화두에는  The third koan asks
갈곳어디 물었다네  Where one will go.

 

도솔삼관 The Three Questions of Dosol

첫번째의 화두에는  In the first koan,
번뇌라는 풀을헤쳐  Clearing away the weeds of afflictions,
도의깊은 뜻을참구  Investigate the deep meaning of the Way.
단지자성 하나만을  Only the true nature itself,
지금그대 진성이란  Your true nature now,
어느곳에 있겠는가  Where is it?

두번째의 화두에는  In the second koan,
자성또한 알았다면  If you know the true nature,
생사틀을 벗어나고  You escape the trap of life and death.
눈의정기 없어질때  When the vitality of the eyes disappears,
어찌생사 벗어날까  How will you escape life and death?

세번째의 화두에는  In the third koan,
생사틀을 벗어나면  If you escape the trap of life and death,
가는곳을 알것인데  You will know where you are going.
사대또한 분리되면  When the four elements also separate,
어느곳을 향할건가  Where will you be headed?
