113. 달마 Bodhidharma                                                       

 

달마

깨닫고저 불원천리  To seek enlightenment, 

                                despite the long distance
달마에게 찾아와서  Came to Bodhidharma
노력해도 안된다고  Saying that despite his efforts, 

                                it was not working
혜가제자 고통호소  Disciple Huike expressed his suffering

달마께서 고쳐준다  Bodhidharma said he would fix it
고통마음 보자하고  Saying, "Show me your troubled mind"
보이지도 잡히지도  Unseen and intangible
없는마음 가져오라  Bring me your mind that does not exist

고쳐준다 가져오라  I will fix it, bring it to me
우매함에 당혹스럼  In his ignorance, he was perplexed
없는마음 어떻게해  How could he bring a nonexistent mind?
생각키도 싫었는데  He did not even want to think about it

얻을수가 없는마음  A mind that cannot be obtained
네가그것 알았으니  Since you know that
없는마음 네것이니  The nonexistent mind is yours
이세상이 편안코나  May this world be at peace
